Bilbao, March XX. The Official College of Physiotherapists of the Basque Country, ESAME, School of Medicine, and the Basque Health Cluster Association (BHC) have signed an agreement in which they commit to developing talent among students and young professionals, with the aim that they can train to work in clinical research in health centers and/or in the various functional areas of the biopharmaceutical and medical devices industry, where physiotherapy and its therapeutic exercise interventions are present, in order to respond to the lack of highly qualified professionals in this sector.
In this way, the COFPV is committed to identifying talent among physiotherapists interested in training to work as professionals in clinical research in health centers and/or in the various functional areas of health, collaborating with ESAME and BHC in the design of the training itinerary that It will require the training of said talent.
For its part, ESAME agrees to collaborate as an active element in the training of talent so that students and young professionals are trained and can work in clinical research in health centers and/or in multiple functional areas of health where physiotherapy and its therapeutic exercise interventions, health education, among many other actions, which aim to promote, prevent, cure and recover people's health. To this end, ESAME makes a training itinerary available through its Lifelong Training Master programs (ESAME-UAX Own Degrees), its Professional Certificates and its ESAME Industrial Doctorate program in collaboration with UAX (Alfonso X El Sabio University).
The leading association of the biosciences and health sector in Euskadi, Basque Health Cluster (BHC), which brings together entities that develop products and services to improve people's health and quality of life, is committed to identifying possible needs for professional profiles that require the area of clinical research in health centers and/or in the various functional areas of physiotherapy, as well as the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices industry; disseminate this agreement among its associates, with the objective that students enrolled in ESAME can carry out their master's, certificate or industrial doctoral internships in companies and/or health centers that are members of BHC and collaborating with ESAME and the COFPV in the design of the training itinerary that will require the training of talent and in the supply of teaching staff for non-pharmacological interventions linked to physiotherapy.
Finally, the agreement contemplates that COFPV Members and employees of BH Cluster associates may benefit from a 5% discount on activities and/or training programs organized by ESAME.
